Eric E. Liriano has resided in the Boston area since 1972. He attended and received his undergraduate degree in communications and business marketing from Boston College in 1988.Prior to joining Robert Fine & Associates, Mr. Liriano was a practitioner with MetLife Financial Services, a major insurer and financial planning firm. He was also an Investment Counselor at F.L. Putnam Asset Management Company, located in Newton, for two years. He conducts seminars for employees of major corporations, health organizations and educational institutions in the Boston area apropos to financial planning. Mr. Liriano is recognized as a premiere Financial Advisor by using a unique macro-economic approach for wealth accumulation and preservation. For the past fourteen years he has been building his practice by counseling individuals, wealthy families, CEOs and other Executives, and owners of closely held corporations. Mr. Liriano is a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council, the National Association of Life Underwriters, as well as a qualifying member of the distinguished Million Dollar Round Table. In addition, he serves on the boards of many well-noted non-profit organizations throughout the Metro-Boston area. He also was appointed and served on the City of Boston Post Audit Committee. Eric is licensed in several states. They are MA, NH, ME, RI, NY, CA, FL, TX, AZ, CT, NJ, IL and PR.
Phyllis Barrajas has focused much of her career in the areas of education, human resource and organizational development. Phyllis is currently the Director of Human Resources for Houghton Mifflin Company, a leading publisher in the areas of education and trade. Prior to coming to Houghton Mifflin Company in September of 1999, she lived in Washington, D.C. and served in senior leadership roles with the U.S. Department of Education.
Before going to Washington D.C. she held numerous human resource leadership positions in a variety of academic and government settings. Phyllis has also served on numerous non-profit boards. As the daughter of Mexican immigrants growing up in the Midwest, she believes strongly in giving back to the community and supporting others in their efforts to pursue their dreams. She holds a Master's Degree from Boston University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Ed Ballina is the Director of Manufacturing and Logistics for Pepsi Bottling Group’s (PBG) Northeast Business Unit. Ed has over 22 years of experience in plant operations and supply chain with three Fortune 500 consumer products companies
He began his career in 1982 with Procter & Gamble Paper Products Company in Mehoopany, Pahwhere he held several positions including Technical Engineer, Maintenance Manager and culminating with a Paper Machine Manager assignment. In 1988 he joined Scott Paper Co in Chester, Pawhere he progressed through several manufacturing leadership assignments of increasing responsibility leading to Scottisue Product System Leader.
Ed began his Pepsi career in corporate HQ in Somers, NYin 1995 as Can Line Efficiency Program Manager. In 1998 he was promoted to San Antonio Plant Manager, moved on to take over as Denver Plant Manager in 2000 and was promoted to Director of Operations in 2002 supporting the Mexican bottler Gemex acquisition. Ed moved to his current role in April of 2003.
His educational background consists of Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ. Ed was very involved in recruiting through the EOP program of his alma mater during his career at Procter and Gamble. More recently Ed was involved with middle school students in Denverthru the Junior Achievement program. Ed currently lives in North Attleboro, Ma with his wife Heidi and two children.

Dr. Patricia Arredondo Dr. Patricia Arredondo is founder and President of Empowerment Workshops, Inc., Boston, Massachusetts since 1985. She leads a multidisciplinary team of consultants in the delivery of services related to individual and organizational change and development. She provides diversity management consultation to a range of client organizations including the corporations, government agencies, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, non-profit agencies and foundations.
In her role as an organizational consultant and educator, Dr. Arredondo collaborates with executives and organizational management to identify the appropriate interventions for the existing institutional needs. These include needs assessments, training design and implementation, research and evaluation, and strategic plans. She is particularly skilled in facilitating organizational change processes that focus on people development, train-the-trainer programs, cultural audits, and team building. She is often a motivational speaker on topics of counselor training and education from multicultural perspectives, empowerment, women as entrepreneurs, Latino perspectives in counseling, and career change. A licensed psychologist, Dr. Arredondo has published and lectured nationally and internationally in countries including Canada, Portugal, Switzerland and the Netherlands. She is the author of Successful Diversity Management Initiatives (1996), and lead author of Operationalization of the Multicultural Counseling Competencies ( 1996). She numerous articles, book chapters, monographs and several training videos in circulation.
A brief sampling of her most recent work includes research studies for the Boston Diversity Initiative, Boston Public Schools, Persistent Poverty Project, and the Boston Ad Club Foundation; workforce diversity consultation and training programs for Houghton Mifflin Publishers, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, The Gillette Company, Fleet Bank, and Wang Laboratories; continuing education training for the University of Minnesota, Rhode Island Bar Association, University of North Texas and the American Counseling Association; and organizational diversity consultation for the University of Denver, Rhode Island School of Design, and State Street Global Advisors.
Throughout her career, Dr. Arredondo has held leadership positions in professional associations. She is President of the board of Parents and Children’s Services, Co-Chair of the Latino Professional Network, and past President of the Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development Other board service includes Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, Freedom House, and the Sankaty Head Foundation. She is also on the Advisory Board of the Boston Management Consortium, the Police Academy Training Committee, and the Boston Diversity Steering Committee. The University of San Diego awarded Dr. Arredondo an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters in 1998. She is the recipient of many other awards including: The Kitty Cole Human Rights Award by the American Counseling Association and Fellow of the Society for the Study of Ethnicity and Culture (Division 45) of the American Psychological Association, Distinguished Professional Service by the Association of Counselor Education and Supervision, and the Mentor Award also from ACES. She is a former professor at the University of New Hampshire and Boston University. Currently, Dr. Arredondo is an adjunct professor for Tufts University; she also lectures at other universities across the country. She also served on the faculty of Columbia University Business School, Executive Training Programs. Her graduate degrees in Counseling Psychology are from Boston College and Boston University respectively. Dr. Arredondo is a founding member of the Latino Professional Network and was co-chair of the Board of Directors until 1999. She currently serves as an advisor to the Board of L.P.N.
